For firms of 2-50 employees, California Law, AB 1672 provides for the following:
- Guaranteed issue
- Standardized premium schedules
- 10% maximum rate variance for medical conditions
- Maximum of 6 months pre-existing waiting period
CalCobra provides portability for terminating employees.
Firms of 50+ Employees: Rates are based on claims history of the group. Plans can be "tailor made" to fit your requirements. Self-insured plans are available for firms with 100+ employees.
